Three Go Mad in Morecambe

Well, this is the first blog by myself, a technological immigrant rather than a technological native ie somebody over 25 ish rather than under 25 ish and has grown up with IT stuff like blogging). This technological immigrant could not even text 24 months ago and has tried to pull herself up by her bootstraps.

My blog will tell you about places my children and I find fun and funner (as my daughter conjugates her adjectives - is that the right grammatical term ?) My blog will tell you about the beautiful things we have discovered in this world and the adventures we have. My blog will tell you about my tips for for making your filthy lack of lucre stretch as far as it can. It will tell you about my experience of the grind of single parentdom and the frustration and deep despair at the politics which often sucks us to the lowest common denominator despite the worthy intentions of some politicians and some sound legislation. And, I'll mention some things that I have found funny.

This photograph taken on my mobile reminds me of the well known film where someone almost gets their eyes pecked out by the birds (excuse the golden oldie reference). Macabre reference aside, this is one of the beautiful, atmospheric pictures I took of one public works of art in Morecambe - Yes, you heard it correctly, Morecambe. And of course these are not real birds.

As a single parent or for anybody and everybody with little money and no place to go - Morecambe can be a good place to go with or without children. Beautiful works of art, lots for children to climb on, lovely beach with views to the mountains of the lake district, some quaint little cafes, parks and lots of rainy day stuff also.

This week I read about Josef Fritzl, the disturbed individual who kept his daughter locked in the cellar. Apparently, a well known book store had his biography as one of their recommended reads for 'Father's day'!
